Models: 2004-2006 Buick Rainier 2001-2006 Cadillac Escalade Models 2001-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, Blazer, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, TrailBlazer Models 2001-2006 GMC Envoy, Jimmy, Sierra, Yukon Models 2001-2004 Oldsmobile Bravada 2005-2006 Saab 9-7X Some vehicles may experience a gradual coolant loss over time. A very low percentage of cylinder head(s) manufactured with an embossed Castech logo may develop a porosity crack in a very specific area. Inspect the cylinder head assembly to determine if the casting was manufactured by Castech. This can be accomplished by inspecting for their casting logo located on top of the intake port, under the rocker arm support rail and in the spring deck cavity portion of the cylinder head. Important: If the cylinder head(s) are Not a Castech casting, follow normal diagnostic procedures in SI to determine the cause of the coolant loss. Refer to the following illustrations on how to identify Castech casting and/or the very specific areas of the cylinder head(s) for a coolant leak from porosity.

Conditions for Running the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Disable Fault • The system voltage is 9-18 volts. • The engine speed is greater than 500 RPM for 5 seconds, and the engine is not in fuel shut-off. • The rear drive module must not be in an overtemperature condition. Conditions for Turning On the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Disable Lamp The AWD disable lamp illuminates when one of the following conditions exists for 5 seconds: • The PCM commands the solenoid ON and the voltage feedback remains high, B+. • The PCM commands the solenoid OFF and the voltage feedback remains low, 0 volts. This condition is present for 3 key cycles. Action Taken When the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Lamp Illuminates • The PCM does not illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). • The PCM inhibits AWD. • The PCM records the operating conditions when the Conditions for Setting the DTC are met. The PCM stores this information as Failure Records. • The PCM stores the AWD disable fault in PCM history. Conditions for Clearing the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Disable Fault • A scan tool can clear the fault. • The PCM clears the fault from PCM history if the vehicle completes 40 warm-up cycles without a non-emission related diagnostic fault occurring. • The PCM cancels the fault default actions when the fault no longer exists.

Subject: Models: EI09073 – Front and Rear Door Adjustment and/or Alignment for Water Leak, Windnoise, Clunk, Creak, Rattle, Rumble, Squeak, Binds, Excessive Effort to Close, Poor Fit, Misaligned (Engineering Information) 2009 Buick Enclave 2009 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT, Escalade ESV 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche, Cobalt (Built After VIN Breakpoint 97272611), Colorado, Malibu, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse 2009 GMC Acadia, Canyon, Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL 2009 Pontiac G5 (Built After VIN Breakpoint 97272611) 2009 Saturn OUTLOOK Some customers may comment about one or more of the following conditions with the front and/or rear doors – water leak, wind noise, clunk, creak, rattle, rumble, squeak, binds, excessive effort to close, difficult to open, inoperative, loose, fits poorly or is mis-aligned. Use this bulletin If, based on preliminary diagnosis, the technician feels that an adjustment and/or alignment of the door(s) will correct the customer complaint or if the vehicle displays an issue where the following labor codes would be used: B4000/B4001 (Front Side Door Adjustment – LH & RH) and/or B4400/B4401 (Rear Side Door Up/Down Adjustment – LH & RH). Cause GM Engineering is attempting to determine the “root cause” for the concern with side door alignment. GM Engineering has a need to obtain information first-hand during the diagnosis and repair. As a result, this information will be used by engineering to “root cause” the customer’s concern and develop a field fix. Instructions Important: DO NOT perform any alignment and/or adjustment to the front and/or rear door

The camshaft position PCM input is produced by the ignition control module. The ICM produces the camshaft position PCM input by filtering the camshaft position (CMP) sensor pulses when the engine is running and CKP sync pulses are also being received. The PCM uses the camshaft position PCM input pulses to initiate sequential fuel injection and to determine crankshaft position for the misfire diagnostic. The PCM constantly monitors the number of pulses on the camshaft position PCM input circuit and compares the number of camshaft position PCM input pulses to the number of 18X reference pulses and the number of 3X reference pulses being received. If the PCM receives an incorrect number of pulses on the camshaft position PCM input circuit, DTC P0341 will set and the PCM will initiate injector sequence without the camshaft position PCM input with a one in six chance that injector sequence is correct. The engine will continue to start and run normally, although the misfire diagnostic will be disabled. Conditions for Setting the DTC • The engine is running (3X reference pulses are being received). • The ratio of 3X reference pulses to Cam pulses received by the PCM does not equal 6. • The ratio of 3X reference pulses to 18X reference pulses received by the PCM equals 6. • The above conditions are present for 600 engine revolutions. Action Taken When the DTC Sets • The PCM will illuminate the MIL during the second consecutive trip cycle in which the diagnostic test has been run and failed. • The PCM will initiate injector sequence without the camshaft position signal with a one in six chance that injector sequence is correct. • If equipped with traction control, the PCM will command the EBTCM via serial data (CKT 800) to set an ABS/TCS DTC, the EBTCM will turn OFF traction control, and the EBTCM will illuminate the TRACTION OFF lamp. • The PCM will store conditions which were present when the DTC set as Freeze Frame and Fail Records data.

There may or may not be an idle complaint accompanying the SES light. This may be due to excessive carbon build up in the throttle body. Recommendation/Instructions: If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, clean the throttle body bore and plate for evaluation.
