REMOVAL STEPS Preparation: Battery ground cable 1. Radiator upper fan shroud – Remove from radiator. 2. Cooling fan assembly – Remove four nuts, then the cooling fan assembly. 3. Power steering pump drive belt 4. Air Conditioning compressor drive belt 5. Generator drive belt 6. Fan pulley assembly 7. Crankshaft pulley assembly – Using special tool J-8614-O1, hold crankshaft pulley. – Remove center bolt, then the pulley. 8. Oil cooler hose – Remove two cooler hose bracket fixing bolts on the timing cover. 9. Timing belt cover 10. Pusher CAUTION: – The pusher prevents air from entering the oil chamber. Its rod must always be facing upward. INSTALLATION STEPS To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order. 11. Timing belt CAUTIONS: – Do not bend or twist the belt, otherwise its core could be damaged. The belt should not be bent at a radius less than 3Omm. – Do not allow oil or other chemical substances to come in contact with the belt. They will shorten the belt life. – Do not attempt to pry or stretch the belt with a screwdriver or any other tool during installation. – Store timing belt in a cool and dark place. Never expose the belt to direct sunlight or heat.

Special Tools Required – Holder Handle 07JAB-001020A – Holder Attachment, 50 mm, Offset 07MAB-PY3010A – Socket, 19 mm 07JAA-001020A or a commercially available 19 mm socket 1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the radio’s preset buttons. 2. Disconnect the battery negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. 3. Turn the crankshaft pulley so its Top Dead Center (TDC) mark (A) lines up with the pointer (B). 4. Remove the front tires/wheels. 5. Remove the splash shield. 6. Loosen the mounting bolts (A), then remove the Power Steering (P/S) belt (B). 7. Disconnect the alternator wire harness. -1 Pull up the lock (A), then release the wire harness tie (B). -2 Pull back the boot and remove the 6 mm nut (C). -3 Disconnect the connector (D) from the alternator. 8. Remove the alternator. 9. Remove the alternator bracket. 10. Support the engine with a jack and wood block under the oil pan. 11. Remove the stop (A) and ground cable (B), then remove the upper bracket (C). 12. Remove the cylinder head cover.13. Remove the upper cover. 14. Remove the dipstick and tube (A). Discard the O-ring (B). 15. Hold the pulley with the special tools. 16. Remove the bolt with a heavy duty 19 mm socket (A) and breaker bar.

1. If equipped, remove the roof rack crossbars and end caps. Remove the four TORX bolts, four lock washers, and four washers from the front and rear crossbars, then remove the crossbars. Remove the four TORX self-tapping screws and eight washers from the crossbars, then remove the caps. Odyssey (EX): INSTALLATION NOTE: • The ski attachments are designed to be used exclusively with a Honda roof rack, which is sold separately. If the vehicle is not equipped with a roof rack, have the recommended roof rack on hand and install the roof rack before installing the ski attachment. • The ski attachments may be installed either with both on the driver’s side or with both on the passenger’s side. . INSTALLATION NOTE: • The ski attachments are designed to be used exclusively with a Honda roof rack, which is sold separately. If the vehicle is not equipped with a roof rack, have the recommended roof rack on hand and install the roof rack before installing the ski attachment. • The ski attachments may be installed either with both on the driver’s side or with both on the passenger’s side. . 4. Slide the two long bolts into each crossbar. Odyssey (EX): 6. Insert the key, and turn it clockwise to unlock the front ski attachment. Press the button, and open the top frame completely.

INSTALLATION NOTE: Be careful not to damage the roof and other finished surfaces of the body when installing the roof box. Do not allow the combined weight of the accessory and cargo to exceed the carrying capacity of the roof rack. An optional Honda roof rack (sold separately) is required to install the roof box. 1. With the help of an assistant, carefully place the box on the crossbars. Open the tailgate to make sure that the box is not interfering with the tailgate. ADHESIVE BACKING BRACKET B ADHESIVE BACKING PLATE ADHESIVE SEALS (4) 4615020B SMALL PAD LARGE PAD ATTACHING SURFACE 2. 3. Open the roof box. Slide the plate forward or backward until the holes in the plate are over the front roof rack crossbar. The plate is located near the front of the roof box. ROOF BOX PLATE Align the holes in the plate over the front crossbar. Attach an adhesive seal over the unsued rear mounting holes along the bottom of the roof box. The seal will help prevent water from entering the roof box. Remove the roof box from the vehicle. 4. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the four brackets B where the small pads will attach. Remove the adhesive backings from the small pads and attach them to the brackets B. SMALL PAD ATTACHING SURFACE LARGE PAD 5. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the four plates where the large pads will attach. Remove the adhesive backings from the large pads and attach them to the plates. Under the roof box, insert a bolt through bracket B, through the plate and into the predrilled hole in the bottom of the roof box. 8. With the help of an assistant, carefully place the box on the crossbars. Be aware of the hardware hanging from the bottom of the box.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Remove the rear bumper. • Remove the two clips along the bottom of the bumper. • Remove the four self-tapping screws from the bumper. • Using a flat-tip screwdriver, pry out and remove the bumper bolt covers, then remove the four bumper bolts. • With the help of an assistant, release the bumper from the fenderwell, and slide the bumper away from the vehicle. • Set the bumper on a blanket. 5 CLIPS DRIVER’S SLIDING DOOR SILL TRIM 852602AE FRONT WEATHERSTRIP 6. Fold the rear third seat and remove the spare tire cover (nineteen tabs). LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL 7. Remove the anchor bolt and the anchor bolt cover and take out the spare tire. Pull away the weatherstrip from the driver’s sliding door sill trim. Remove the driver’s sliding door sill trim (five clips). Pull away the weatherstrip from the rear trim panel. Remove the rear trim panel (ten clips and two screws). REAR TRIM PANEL
