1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then fully lower steering wheel. 2. Remove finish panel screws and connectors, Figs. 17 through 20 . Fig. 21 Instrument Cluster Screw Locations 3. Remove cluster screws and disconnect electrical connectors. 4. Remove cluster assembly. 5. Reverse procedure to install.

1. (w/ AIR SUSPENSION) MOVE HEIGHT CONTROL ON/OFF SWITCH IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TO “OFF” 2. JACK UP VEHICLE, REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 3. REMOVE FRONT BRAKE CYLINDER AND DISC ROTOR (a) Remove the two bolts and remove the brake cylinder from the steering knuckle. (b) Hang up the brake cylinder using wire, etc. (c) Place matchmarks on the disc rotor and axle hub. (d) Remove the two screws and remove the disc rotor. 4. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR FROM STEERING KNUCKLE 5. CHECK BACKLASH IN BEARING SHAFT DIRECTION Place the dial indicator near the center of the axle hub and check the backlash in the bearing shaft direction. Maximum: 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.) If greater than the specified maximum, replace the bearing. 6. CHECK AXLE HUB DEVIATION Using a dial indicator, check the deviation at the surface of the axle hub outside the hub bolt. Maximum: 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.) If greater than the specified maximum, replace the axle hub.

Fig. 26 Wiper Component Locations 1. Disconnect battery ground cable and disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING. 2. Remove wiper arm and blade assemblies, Fig. 26. 3. Remove hood to cowl seal and cowl louver. 4. Remove five set bolts, then disconnect electrical connector. 5. Raise front side of wiper motor and link assembly up and remove wiper motor and link assembly. 6. Remove wiper motor cover. 7. Reverse procedure to install, torque four bolts to 48 in. lb.

NOTE: This is the only information provided by the manufacturer for reading diagnostic trouble codes for this system. 1. WARNING FOR A/C COMPRESSOR LOCK If compressor lock occurs during A/C operation, the A/C switch indicator on the A/C control assembly starts blinking. When this occurs, check for compressor lock (DTC B1422) using diagnosis trouble code check then proceed to inspect the circuit or the component. Compressor lock sensor circuit. (See DTC B1422 Compressor Lock Sensor Circuit) 2. LIST OF OPERATION METHODS By operating each of the A/C control switches as shown in the diagram, it is possible to enter the diagnosis check mode. 3. INDICATOR CHECK b. Check that all the indicators light up and go off at 1 second intervals 4 times in succession. HINT: After the indicator check is ended, the diagnostic trouble code check begins automatically. Press the OFF switch when desiring to cancel the check mode. 4. DTC CHECK (SENSOR CHECK)

2. INSPECT PAD LINING THICKNESS Check the pad thickness through the caliper inspection hole and replace pads if the thickness is not within the specification. Minimum thickness: 1.0 mm (0.039 inch) 3. REMOVE ANTI-SQUEAL SPRING AND PAD GUIDE PIN a. Raise the “B” portion with hand, push up the “A” portion and unlatch the anti-squeal spring from brake caliper. b. Remove the anti-squeal spring. NOTICE: Do not deform the clip and anti-squeal spring. The clip and anti-squeal spring can be used again provided that they have sufficient rebound, no-deformation, cracks or wear, and have had all rust, dirt and foreign particles cleaned off. c. Remove the clip and pad guide pin. 4. REMOVE PADS AND ANTI-SQUEAL SHIMS a. Remove the 2 pads. b. Remove the 4 anti-squeal shims from each pad. 5. CHECK DISC THICKNESS AND RUNOUT 6. INSTALL NEW PADS NOTICE: When replacing worn pads, the anti-squeal shims must be replaced together with the pads. a. Apply disc brake grease to both sides of inner anti-squeal shims. b. Install the 2 anti-squeal shims on each pad. HINT: Make sure the arrows on the inner anti-squeal shims facing to the direction of disc rotation as shown in the illustration. c. Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from the reservoir.
