- with CODE (U49) Styling Package Remove/Install 1 Remove cover (1) from bumper NOTE: Do not break retaining lugs. 2 Remove bulb housing (2) NOTE: To unlock, rotate counterclockwise. Installation: Ensure that the locking device has locked securely. 3 Remove fog lamp insert (6) from housing Installation wedge: See Special Tools below. 4 Disconnect connector (4) 5 Remove bulb on the back of the fog lamp insert (6) CAUTION: Do not hold the bulb with bare fingers, as fingerprints bake and leave behind opaqueness on the bulb. Use a soft, lint-free cloth. NOTE: Lock securely. 6 Install in the reverse order Special Tools

AR68.20-P-2020GI Remove/Install Rear Center Console – Models 163.154/174 #A as of 289565 – Models 163.157/175 (all) Remove/Install 1 Remove armrest lid (1) 2 Remove stowage box in the center console NOTE: Press the center pin approx. 4 mm downwards, then remove the rivet upwards 3 Remove screws (2) on the cup holder 4 Remove inner part of ashtray 5 Remove ashtray trim (3) CAUTION: Risk of breaking the clips (4) NOTE: Loosen clips (4) and pull back the lower edge of the cover and remove upwards 6 Remove screws (5) 7 Unclip rear center console (6) above (arrows) Long wedge: See Special Tools below. 8 Remove rear center console (6) from the center console 9 Disconnect plug from control module of rear control panel and ashtray NOTE: Disconnect plug of the rear ashtray from ashtray housing 10 Install in the reverse order Special Tools Long Wedge P/N # 115 589 03 59 00

Model 170 (SLK32O only), Model Year 2002 and later Engine Control Unit Software Update The Flashware CD release 0004488102/0005 (refer to S-B-07.61/30) or any newer version contains a software update for the engine control unit for the following conditions. Please use only the latest flash CD for flashing. Note: Do not flash Model 230 (SL5OO) with chassis number lower than F029500. ME software with part no. 113 153 34 79 will not communicate with transmission control unit resulting in a no start condition. Note: Emissions are not exceeded under normal conditions. All M112/M113 Engines – Model 220/215 MY 2003 and later remaining models MY 2002 and later: ^ Lack of power under full acceleration and mid range and/or upper long-term adaption values drifting to lean. ^ Hesitation caused by “two-footed” driver, i.e. driver depresses accelerator and brake pedal at the same time as outlined in DTB # 302 dated May 29, 2001. Open cap with detent (2) or 2-stage cap (2a) expansion reservoir (1) or radiator. NOTE: – Cap with detent (2): Rotate cap with detent (2) carefully to first predetent, release pressure, then unscrew cap with detent (2). – Model 163: Rotate 2-stage cap (2a) or 1-stage cap half a revolution in anti-clockwise direction, release pressure, then unscrew 2-stage cap (2a) or 1-stage cap. Set heating switches to maximum heating capacity – All except Model 163 NOTE: Model 163 has no pulsed valves. Coolant is permanently flowing through the heating system heat exchanger. Inspect Check coolant level, if required adjust correctly. NOTE: In case of inadequate antifreeze content, Replace coolant against a separate job order. Fit the test cap (3) on the expansion reservoir or radiator Connect tester Apply pressure to cooling system and check leaktightness of cooling system Inspect cooling and heating hoses as well as their connection points for proper condition and loss of coolant, replace coolant hoses, if necessary. Check condition and seating of hose clamps and retighten or replace if necessary. Install in the reverse order.
