NOTE: If it is not possible to lock or unlock the vehicle, a synchronization of the locking system can be necessary. The top control unit located under the right side of the baggage shelf or right occasional seat controls the following functions: Opening and closing the top (including lowering side windows and roll bar) after actuation of the top switch Locking and unlocking the coupe roof after actuating the top switch. Automatic switchover to coupe roof/top operation after attaching or removing the coupe roof Monitoring of safety-relevant information (speedometer function, speed signals, roll bar control unit, function of operating switches, locked state for top locks) Convenience operation (moving up/down) for roll bar after actuating roll bar switch. Lowering/raising side windows after actuating window lift switch Momentary contact function for automatically lowering the side windows after corresponding actuation of window lift switch Convenience closing of side windows via lock on driver’s door Convenience operation for side windows (operation with door open, in spite of ignition being switched off). Diagnostic system with pulse display for malfunction recognition.

1 Remove covering on exterior rearview mirror 2 Unscrew screws (1) 3 Remove cover (2) with guides (3) from covering NOTE: Installation: Ensure that guides (3) are correctly seated in cover. 4 Remove left/right exterior mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5, E6/6) from covering 5 Install in opposite order 6 Check for proper function. Service and Repair AR88.70-P-9060M Remove/Install Mirror Adjustment Drive Motor 1 Remove cover on outside rearview mirror 2 Remove mirror glass 3 Unscrew screws (2) 4 Remove mirror adjustment motor (1) 5 Disconnect connector (3) 6 Install in opposite order.

Removal, installation 1. Press off handle recess (3) using assembly wedge. 2. Unscrew screw (4) in the area of the interior door control 3. Unclip cover (11) and unscrew screw (12) On vehicles with front side airbag (with code 292) 4. Unscrew screw (1) on lock escutcheon (2) and remove lock escutcheon downwards 5. Press off cover (5) under armrest on door pocket and unscrew screw (6) 6. Unclip entrance lamp and disconnect electrical connection 7. Press door lining (8) off inner door panel at bottom, front and rear using assembly wedge Note: Guide each assembly wedge straight to the clips 8. Lift door lining (8) upwards off retaining clips at the top of the sealing rail using assembly wedge and at the same time pull away from the inner door panel 9. Unhook control cable on interior door control 10. Pull electrical connections off door lining (8). 11. Put down door lining (8) 12. Check films and clips on inner door panel and replace if necessary. Note: Stick door film to inner door panel 13. Check clips (9) on door lining (1) and replace if necessary 14. Install in reverse order References, Special tools

The hydraulic unit (pump, motor, supply reservoir) is located in the spare tire recess. If the switch for the roll-over bar convenience feature or the switch for the soft top is actuated, the pump (A7/5) runs as long as the switch is pressed, pumping hydraulic fluid at a pressure of approx. 180 + 20 bar . The pressure is limited to 180 bar by a pressure limitation valve.
