Trim Panels, Mouldings And Fasteners NOTE: Floor console with navigation shown, floor console without navigation similar. Trim Panels And Fasteners NOTE: Floor console with navigation shown, floor console without navigation similar. Removal and Installation 1. Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position. 2. Position the front seats to the full rearward and downward positions. 3. Pull the middle and rear of the floor console LH and RH lower trim panels outward to release the retaining clips. 4. NOTICE: Damage to the floor console upper trim panels may occur if cardboard is not used to remove the floor console lower trim panels. NOTE: Floor console LH lower trim panel shown, floor console RH lower trim panel similar. Position a piece of cardboard between the floor console LH and RH lower trim panels and floor console. 5. Remove the floor console LH lower trim panel. Push the floor console LH lower trim panel toward the front of the vehicle to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainer. 6. Remove the floor console RH lower trim panel. Pull the floor console RH lower trim panel down toward the floor of the vehicle to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainer. 7. Position the front seats forward. 8. Remove the 2 floor console lower rear screws. 9. Position the front seats rearward. 10. Remove the steering column opening trim panel in the following sequence. 1. Remove the 2 steering column opening trim panel screws. 2. Pull the steering column opening trim panel down toward the floor of the vehicle to release the retaining clips. 11. Remove the floor console LH and RH finish mouldings in the following sequence. 1. Lift up the rear of the floor console finish mouldings to release the retaining clips from the floor console. 2. Pull the floor console finish mouldings toward the rear of the vehicle to release the retaining clips from the center instrument finish panel. 3. Disconnect the trunk release switch and start/stop button electrical connector, if equipped. NOTICE: Damage to the floor console may occur if cardboard is not used to remove the floor console upper trim panel. NOTE: Floor console LH upper trim panel shown, floor console RH upper trim panel similar. 12. Remove the floor console LH upper trim panel in the following sequence. 1. Pull the rear of the floor console LH upper trim panel away from the floor console, releasing the retaining clips. 2. Position a piece of cardboard between the floor console LH upper trim panel and floor console. 3. Pull the floor console LH upper trim panel toward the rear of the vehicle to release the retaining clips from the instrument panel. 13. Remove the 2 pushpin carpet retainers, 4 floor console lower front and middle screws. 14. Remove the selector lever bezel. For additional information, refer to Section 307-05. 15. Remove the media bin/storage compartment in the following sequence. 1. Remove the 4 screws and lift up the media bin/storage compartment. 2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s). 16. Disconnect the floor console bulkhead electrical connector. 17. Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer from the floor console. 18. Remove the 2 floor console upper bolts. 19. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever.

Bolts/screws from front floor console mounting bracket rear of transaxle shifter lever. 8. Bolts screws from forward edge of front floor console. 9. Electrical connectors. 10. Pull front floor console rearward to release tabs from retainers in instrument panel. 11. Front floor console from vehicle. Install or Connect

1. Remove the screws that hold storage bin in place. 2. Remove the storage bin from the center console. Fig. 108: Console Storage Bin 1. Install the storage bin. 2. Install the storage bin screws. Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in). TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT – CONSOLE UPPER Removal Procedure Fig. 109: Console Upper Trim Panel 1. Remove the shift handle. Refer to Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement in Automatic Transmission. 2. Remove the console storage bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement . 3. Remove the cup holder/PRNDL assembly. Refer to Cupholder Replacement . 4. Remove the center console end panel. Refer to Center Console End Panel Replacement . 5. Pull upwards on the upper console trim panel to release the trim panel clips. 6. Remove the upper console trim panel.

Special Tools Required KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 * * Available through the American Honda Tool and Equipment Program. NOTE: Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components. Take care not to scratch the front seat, dashboard, and related parts. 1. Detach the clips (A, B), and release the hooks (C) by pulling the center console trim (D) from both sides. 2. Open the console box lid (A) then remove the console mat (B) and screws (C, D). 3. Slide the rear section of the center console (A) rearward to release the hooks (B). 4. Lift up the rear of the console (A). Release the harness retainer clip (B) from the air duct, and disconnect the console accessory power socket connector (C), the light bulb socket connector (D), and the AUX connector (E), then remove the rear section of the center console. 5. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely. Make sure the console accessory power socket connector and the AUX connector are plugged in properly, and the light bulb socket is connected securely.

Wait one minute. 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. WARNING: WAIT AT LEAST ONE MINUTE AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES BEFORE REMOVING THE FLOOR CONSOLE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOYING THE AIR BAG(S) AND MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. 2. Remove the rear floor console screws. Move seat fully forward. NOTE: Contour shown, SVT similar. 3. Fully apply the parking brake. 4. Detach the shift indicator selector bezel. 5. Detach the shift bezel from the selector housing. 1 Remove three bolts. 2 Detach shift bezel from the console. 6. Raise and remove the rear floor console. NOTE: The rear floor console must be raised to disengage the front retaining clips. Remove the four front floor console retaining screws. 8. Detach the front floor console. 1 Set the gearshift lever into position 1. 2 Partially remove the front floor console. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connections and remove the front center console. INSTALLATION 1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
