1997 Ford Windstar Front Door Trim Panel Removal and Installation

1. Remove door latch cover by pulling trim free of retaining clips and sliding trim away from latch. 2. Remove portion of armrest containing door lock switch and window regulator control switch (14529). Trim Panel 3. Remove screw attaching front door trim panel (23942) to front door (20124). 4. Remove two screws located at bottom of front door trim panel. 5. Disconnect the door lock switch (14028) and window regulator control switch electrical connectors. 6. Remove rear view outside mirror mounting hole cover assembly by prying at top and pulling upward to release double-sided clip. 7. Pull front door trim panel from the top to release fasteners from front door. 8. Remove front door trim panel. Disconnect lamp connector. 9. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Replace any bent or damaged fasteners. Body Side Removal and Installation 1. Remove door handle retaining clip by sliding a shop towel between handle and door trim. With tension on the cloth, pull one end of the cloth so it slides between the handle and the door trim. If handle does not come out, reverse direction. 2. Gently pry door latch bezel from door trim. 3. Pull body side trim panel from body side door. 4. To install, reverse Removal procedure. For installation of handle, install clip to handle, then push handle on to shaft to snap in place. Back Removal and Installation 1. Disconnect rear window defroster wires. 2. Remove the liftgate window garnish moulding. Refer to procedure in this section. 3. Remove screws attaching liftgate handle to liftgate and liftgate inside trim panel. 4. Using Rotunda Windshield and Moulding/Trim Removal Kit 107-R0401 or equivalent, pry pushpins retaining liftgate trim from the liftgate. 5. Remove liftgate trim. 6. These codes contain all the pertinent information relating to the dates, optional equipment and revisions. The 8 solenoid-operated fuel injectors: are mounted in the intake manifold. meter fuel into the air intake stream in accordance with engine demand. are positioned so that their tips direct fuel just ahead of the engine intake valves. supply fuel from the fuel tank with a fuel pump mounted in the fuel tank. Valve Train The valve train operates as follows: Ball-tip hydraulic lash adjusters provide automatic lash adjustment. Introduction The sliding door front striker plate and lock assembly on 2004 – 2006 model year Sienna vehicles have been redesigned in order to address customer complaints of rattles that occur under certain driving conditions. The improved front striker plate and lock assembly have a new coating that will reduce noise from contact between the front striker plate and the sliding door lock assembly when in the closed position. FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL NOTE: Driver side shown in illustration, passenger side similar. Fig. 6: Identifying Front Door Trim Panel Components 1. Remove the mirror access panel. 2. Remove the door trim panel screw located behind the mirror access panel. 3. Remove the 2 door trim panel screws located in the door pull. 4. Remove the window regulator control switch panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors. 5. Remove the door trim panel screw located beneath the window regulator control switch panel. 6. Remove the door trim panel screw located behind the mirror access panel. Remove the door trim panel screw located at the rear-most of the front door trim panel. 8. Remove the 2 hex-head screws located at the bottom of the front door trim panel. 9. Carefully raise and remove the front door trim panel. 10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
