When making the connections as detailed above, the Sorento RHD Wiring Diagram Manual (Pt No A3EE-EG 20A) must be available to confirm that the correct Connector, Pin Number and wire colour is identified before connection takes place. Installation Note: Prior to commencing the installation of the alarm system, ensure that the contents are complete and that you are fully conversant with the splicing and soldering technique shown on the previous pages. Remove the insulating tape from the rubber truncking and the main harness to allow access through the trunking into the grommet. Note: Do NOT include the bonnet switch wire when feeding the alarm harness through the trunking Feeding the alarm harness into the car via the main grommet will require great care as space is restricted. Therefore, tape the end of the alarm harness, including connectors, to a suitable pilot feeder. A stiff coat hanger can be used but you MUST ensure the end to be fed into the grommet is bent over and tapped to prevent damage to the main harness when feeding through the mai 9 grommet.

Description This bulletin provides information related to the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) for Sorento & Sedona models. Some Sorento & Sedona vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes P0121 and/or P1121. This condition mainly occurs in high ambient or desert areas, and can be related to the occasional increase in contact resistance due to excessive wear of the inner elements of the TP sensor. This bulletin describes the proper service and adjustment procedure for replacing the TP Sensor. – Service Procedure Replacement Procedure: 1. Turn ignition OFF. Remove engine cover and disconnect electrical connector from TP Sensor. 2. Remove two (2) retaining screws from TP Sensor and remove from throttle body. 3. Install new TP Sensor to throttle body. Install retaining screws and hand tighten lightly. Adjustment will be required. Re-install electrical connector to TP Sensor.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove engine cover. Using 16-mm spanner wrench, rotate serpentine belt tension arm clockwise about 14 degrees to relieve belt tension. Remove serpentine drive belt. Remove power steering pump pulley, idler pulley, tensioner pulley and crankshaft pulley. Remove upper and lower timing belt covers. See Fig. 1 or Fig. 2 .
NOTE: Rotate crankshaft clockwise and align timing mark to set No. 1 cylinder to TDC on compression stroke. 2. Ensure timing marks of camshaft sprocket and cylinder head cover are matching. See Fig. 5 . On Sedona, support engine with jack and remove engine mounting insulator. On all models, remove auto tensioner. See Fig. 3 . NOTE: If timing belt is to be reused, mark rotational directionon belt for reinstallation reference. CAUTION: If either camshaft is set at TDC for cylinder No. 1 at the compression
stroke and the corresponding camshaft on the same cylinder head is rotated 180 degrees while the timing belt is removed, intake and
exhaust valves may contact each other. 3. Unbolt timing belt tensioner pulley, and remove timing belt.
