Door Panel Removal NOTE: Take care not to scratch the door panel and other parts. 1. Remove the trim plate, then remove the screws. NOTE: Do not remove the inner handle from the door panel. 2. Remove the screw and stop. Release the clips that hold the door panel, then remove the door panel by pulling it upward. Disconnect the connectors and inner handle cable. NOTE: Remove the door panel with as little bending as possible to avoid creasing or breaking it. 3. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

1. Remove door latch cover by pulling trim free of retaining clips and sliding trim away from latch. 2. Remove portion of armrest containing door lock switch and window regulator control switch (14529). Trim Panel 3. Remove screw attaching front door trim panel (23942) to front door (20124). 4. Remove two screws located at bottom of front door trim panel. 5. Disconnect the door lock switch (14028) and window regulator control switch electrical connectors. 6. Remove rear view outside mirror mounting hole cover assembly by prying at top and pulling upward to release double-sided clip. 7. Pull front door trim panel from the top to release fasteners from front door. 8. Remove front door trim panel. Disconnect lamp connector. 9. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Replace any bent or damaged fasteners. Body Side Removal and Installation 1. Remove door handle retaining clip by sliding a shop towel between handle and door trim. With tension on the cloth, pull one end of the cloth so it slides between the handle and the door trim. If handle does not come out, reverse direction. 2. Gently pry door latch bezel from door trim. 3. Pull body side trim panel from body side door. 4. To install, reverse Removal procedure. For installation of handle, install clip to handle, then push handle on to shaft to snap in place. Back Removal and Installation 1. Disconnect rear window defroster wires. 2. Remove the liftgate window garnish moulding. Refer to procedure in this section. 3. Remove screws attaching liftgate handle to liftgate and liftgate inside trim panel. 4. Using Rotunda Windshield and Moulding/Trim Removal Kit 107-R0401 or equivalent, pry pushpins retaining liftgate trim from the liftgate. 5. Remove liftgate trim. 6. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Liftgate Door Electrical Connections

Actuator Electronic Blend Door Removal 1. Make sure the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position. 2. WARNING: To avoid the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, notes and instructions in the deactivation procedure. Deactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to Section 501-20B. 3. Connect the battery ground cable. 4. Position the front seats rearward. 5. Disconnect the battery ground cable. 6. Through the glove compartment opening, remove the instrument panel support brace bolt. 7. Disconnect the aspirator hose from the housing. 8. Disconnect the RH bulkhead connector. 1. Loosen the bolt. 2. Disconnect the RH bulkhead connector. 9. Close the glove compartment door. 10. Remove the RH lower instrument panel insulator. 1. Disconnect the power point electrical connector. 2. Remove the courtesy lamp from the lamp socket. 3. Remove the RH lower instrument panel insulator. 11. Remove the tunnel brace trim cover. 12. Remove the instrument panel tunnel brace. 1. Remove the nuts. 2. Remove the brace. 13. Position the steering column brace aside. 1. Remove the nut. 2. Position the steering column brace aside. 14. Separate the intermediate shaft from the steering column shaft. 1. Remove and discard the pinch bolt. 2. Separate the intermediate shaft from the steering column shaft. 15. Position the RH and LH cowl side trim panels aside. Position the RH and LH front door weatherstrips aside. 16. Remove the RH and LH A-pillar trim panels. 17. Remove the instrument panel defroster grille. 1. Unclip the instrument panel defroster opening grille. 2. Disconnect the connectors. 3. Remove the instrument panel defroster opening grille. 18. Remove the three instrument panel cowl top screws. 19. Remove the RH instrument panel cowl side nut. 20. Remove the LH instrument panel cowl side nut. 21. Remove the lower instrument panel cowl side bolt.

Rear Door Trim Panel Removal 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01. 2. NOTE: Use care not to damage the trim panel when removing the screws. Remove the screws. 3. Remove the handle. 4. Remove the screws. 5. Remove the rear door trim panel. 6. Disconnect the electrical connector. 7. Disconnect the color-coded clips from the bracket. Installation 1. Connect the clips to the pull-strap. The silver retainer clip goes toward the front of the vehicle. The green retainer clip goes toward the rear of the vehicle. 2. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Removal Both sides 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01. Right side 2. NOTE: Release the top portion first. On the RH door, remove the sail panel. 3. Remove the window regulator switchplate (14524). 4. Disconnect the electrical connectors. 5. On the RH door, remove the top door trim panel screw. Both sides 6. Remove the door pull handle screw covers. 7. Remove the door pull handle screws. 8. Position out the inside door handle trim cover. 9. Remove the inside door handle. Remove the bolt. 10. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the front door trim panel, do not pull directly outward. NOTE: On the left front door trim panel, the sail panel remains affixed to the door panel upon removal. Lift upward and then outward to release the front door trim panel (23943). 11. Disconnect the electrical connector. Left side 12. Disconnect all remaining electrical connectors. Both sides 13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
