Removal Procedure 1. Open the door. 2. Remove the front door trim plate. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement () . 3. Remove the front door manual window regulator handle if equipped. Refer to Window Regulator Handle Replacement – Door Remove the armrest screws. Route the electrical harness through the front door trim panel opening. Use J 38778 in order to remove the front door trim panel from the door. Use J 38778 in order to pry the front door trim panel from the door frame at the window seal. 8. Remove the front door trim panel from the door. 4. 5. 6. 7. Installation Procedure 1. Install the front door trim panel to the front door. 2. Place the window seal portion of the panel over the door frame. 3. Route the electrical harness through the front door trim panel opening and into place. 4. Align the front door trim panel retainers to the holes in the door metal. 5. Firmly press the front door trim panel to the door metal in order to seat the retainers. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices. 6. Install the armrest screws. Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (26 lb in). 7. Install the front door manual window regulator handle if equipped. Refer to Window Regulator Handle Replacement – Door 8. Install the door trim plate. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement () . 9. Close the door.

1. Remove door latch cover by pulling trim free of retaining clips and sliding trim away from latch. 2. Remove portion of armrest containing door lock switch and window regulator control switch (14529). Trim Panel 3. Remove screw attaching front door trim panel (23942) to front door (20124). 4. Remove two screws located at bottom of front door trim panel. 5. Disconnect the door lock switch (14028) and window regulator control switch electrical connectors. 6. Remove rear view outside mirror mounting hole cover assembly by prying at top and pulling upward to release double-sided clip. 7. Pull front door trim panel from the top to release fasteners from front door. 8. Remove front door trim panel. Disconnect lamp connector. 9. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Replace any bent or damaged fasteners. Body Side Removal and Installation 1. Remove door handle retaining clip by sliding a shop towel between handle and door trim. With tension on the cloth, pull one end of the cloth so it slides between the handle and the door trim. If handle does not come out, reverse direction. 2. Gently pry door latch bezel from door trim. 3. Pull body side trim panel from body side door. 4. To install, reverse Removal procedure. For installation of handle, install clip to handle, then push handle on to shaft to snap in place. Back Removal and Installation 1. Disconnect rear window defroster wires. 2. Remove the liftgate window garnish moulding. Refer to procedure in this section. 3. Remove screws attaching liftgate handle to liftgate and liftgate inside trim panel. 4. Using Rotunda Windshield and Moulding/Trim Removal Kit 107-R0401 or equivalent, pry pushpins retaining liftgate trim from the liftgate. 5. Remove liftgate trim. 6. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Liftgate Door Electrical Connections

Rear Door Trim Panel Removal 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01. 2. NOTE: Use care not to damage the trim panel when removing the screws. Remove the screws. 3. Remove the handle. 4. Remove the screws. 5. Remove the rear door trim panel. 6. Disconnect the electrical connector. 7. Disconnect the color-coded clips from the bracket. Installation 1. Connect the clips to the pull-strap. The silver retainer clip goes toward the front of the vehicle. The green retainer clip goes toward the rear of the vehicle. 2. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Removal Both sides 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01. Right side 2. NOTE: Release the top portion first. On the RH door, remove the sail panel. 3. Remove the window regulator switchplate (14524). 4. Disconnect the electrical connectors. 5. On the RH door, remove the top door trim panel screw. Both sides 6. Remove the door pull handle screw covers. 7. Remove the door pull handle screws. 8. Position out the inside door handle trim cover. 9. Remove the inside door handle. Remove the bolt. 10. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the front door trim panel, do not pull directly outward. NOTE: On the left front door trim panel, the sail panel remains affixed to the door panel upon removal. Lift upward and then outward to release the front door trim panel (23943). 11. Disconnect the electrical connector. Left side 12. Disconnect all remaining electrical connectors. Both sides 13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal 1. Remove the (A) liftgate handle to liftgate screws and the (B) liftgate handle. 2. Remove the liftgate trim panel screw access plug. 3. Remove the screw. 4. Remove the liftgate door trim panel. 1. Use Windshield and Molding/Trim Removal Kit to remove the liftgate door trim panel from the liftgate window opening. 2. Push the liftgate door trim panel toward the top of the liftgate and remove the liftgate trim panel. Installation 1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
