Drain the cooling system. Supercharged vehicles 3. Remove the supercharger degas bottle. All vehicles 4. Remove the front air deflector. 1 Remove the pin-type retainers. 2 Remove the front air deflector. 5. Remove the upper hose from the radiator. 1 Release the clamp. 2 Disconnect the hose. 6. Remove the degas bottle hose from the radiator. 1 Release the hose clamp and slide it away from the end of the hose. 2 Slide the overflow hose off the radiator fitting. 7. Remove the fan blade assembly and fan clutch. 1 Use the fan pulley holding wrench to hold the water pump pulley steady. 2 Use the fan clutch nut wrench to remove the fan blade and the fan clutch. 7. Remove the fan blade assembly and fan clutch. 1 Use the fan pulley holding wrench to hold the water pump pulley steady. 2 Use the fan clutch nut wrench to remove the fan blade and the fan clutch. 9. NOTE: If the lead retaining clip is broken, install a new lead retaining clip. If equipped, disconnect the fan clutch electrical connector and lead retaining clip. 10. Remove the fan blade and fan shroud out of the vehicle together. 11. Remove the bolts and separate the fan blade assembly from the fan clutch. 12. NOTE: To avoid stripping the threads, use the correct bolts when installing a new fan clutch. Use’ bolts 575632-S426 for fan clutch F85A-8A616 and bolts N602548-S426 for fan clutch 2L34-8A616 and 2C64-8A616. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove lower timing belt cover 2000 Isuzu Truck VehiCROSS (4WD) V6-3.5L 13. Remove pusher. Caution: The pusher prevents air from entering the oil chamber. Its rod must always be facing upward. 14. Remove timing belt. Caution: 1. Do not bend or twist the belt. otherwise its core could be damaged. The belt should not be bent at a radius less than 30 mm. 2. Do not allow oil or other chemical substances to come in contact with the belt. They will shorten the life. 3. Do not attempt pry or stretch the belt with a screw driver or any other tool during installation. 4. Store timing belt in a cool and dark place. Never expose the belt to direct sunlight or heat. Installation Note: For correct belt installation, the leper on the belt must be able to be read as viewed from the front of the vehicle. 2000 Isuzu Truck VehiCROSS (4WD) V6-3.5L 1. Install timing belt. 1. Align groove of crankshaft timing pulley with mark on oil pump. Align the mark on the crankshaft timing pulley with alignment mark (white dots line) on the timing belt. Secure the belt with a double clip. Note: When timing marks are aligned, No.2 piston will be on top Dead Center.

Drive Belt, Serpentine NOTE: Minor cracks in the V-grooved portion of the serpentine drive belt are considered normal and acceptable. If the drive belt (8620) has chunks missing from the ribs, the drive belt should be replaced. NOTE: When installing drive belts on pulley, make sure that all V-grooves make proper contact with pulleys. Conditions requiring drive belt replacement are excessive wear, rib chunkout, severe glazing, frayed cords, etc. Replace any drive belt that exhibits any of these conditions. Removal 1. WARNING: USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING OR INSTALLING DRIVE BELT TO MAKE SURE THAT TOOL DOES NOT SLIP. Using a 15 mm socket or wrench on bolt, attach drive belt tensioner pulley. Rotate drive belt tensioner (6B209) clockwise to remove drive belt from pulleys. Pulley Routing, Accessory Drive Belt — 3.8L Engine Installation 1. Install drive belt over all pulleys (except drive belt tensioner). 2. Rotate drive belt tensioner as described under Removal to install drive belt over drive belt tensioner pulley. Make sure that all V-grooves make proper contact with pulleys.
