1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the positive battery cable. 3. Remove UHFB fasteners. 4 Turn UHFB over and open fuse block case. 5. Remove connectors. (1) Forward Lamp, GRA 68-way (2) Engine, BRN 68-way (3) I/P, BLK 68-way (4) I/P, BLK 2-way (5) I/P, GRA 2-way (6) I/P, BLK 1-way 6. Remove UHFB from vehicle. INSTALLATION 1. Connect connectors to fuse block. (1) Forward Lamp, GRA 68-way (2) Engine, BRN 68-way (3) I/P, BLK 68-way (4) I/P, BLK 2-way (5) I/P, GRA 2-way (6) I/P, BLK 1-way (A) Forward Lamp (B) Engine (C) Instrument Panel Close and latch fuse block case. Position UHFB into place. Install UHFB fasteners. Torque: Underhood fuse Block: 9 N.m (80 in-lbs) Connect the positive battery cable. Connect negative battery cable.

Subject: Front Door Glass Does Not Move Up or Down and/or Inoperative or Uneven Motion (Inspect Window Regulator and Tighten Cam Bolt Torque) Models: 2003-2007 Saturn ION Supercede: This bulletin is being revised to add the 2007 model year. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-64-020 (Section 08 – Body & Accessories). Condition Some customers may comment on either of the following conditions: Condition 1: The front door glass does not move up or down and/or is inoperative. Condition 2: The front door glass moves in an uneven or jerky motion. Cause Condition 1 may be caused by the window regulator sash channel being spread apart where it fastens to clips on the bottom of the door glass. Condition 2 may be caused by a loose cam guide bolt. Correction Remove the door interior trim panel and inspect the window regulator and sash channel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement – Side Front Door in SI.

Fig. 28: View Of Power Door Lock Switch 1. Using a flat-bladed tool, pry the switch from the door trim panel enough to expose the locking tabs. 2. Press the locking tab to remove the lock switch from the door trim panel. 3. Disconnect the electrical connector. 4. Remove the door lock switch. Installation Procedure 1. Connect the electrical connector. 2. Position the door lock switch in the door trim panel. 3. Install the door lock switch pressing in until fully seated.

2003-2006 Saturn ION No Crank or No Start, (Replace Ignition Switch)

Condition Some customers may comment that their vehicle will not start. This comment is referred to as “no crank, no start with complete power.” Additional customer comments may be as follows: • A clicking noise may be noticed when the key is first turned to the START position, but no noise is heard after the initial start attempt. • The “Security” light may flash immediately after trying to start the car along with the message “Service Vehicle” in the Driver Information Center. • The vehicle may not start for at least 10 minutes after the first attempt to start the vehicle. Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B2960 and or B3033 may be set in history in the BCM. Cause When the key is rotated from RUN to START there is a voltage signal sent to the BCM that goes through the PASSLOCK resistor in the ignition switch. This voltage signal may have an early ignition switch bounce (when going from RUN to START) that the BCM interprets as a failure in the PASSLOCK system and disables the starting circuit.
