On some 2003 model year Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT, and Escalade ESV; Chevrolet Silverado, Avalanche, Tahoe, and Suburban; GMC Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL; and HUMMER H2 vehicles, the passenger door module (PDM) may become inoperative. An inoperative PDM would cause loss of function for the remote keyless entry, front passenger power window, lock, mirror and heated seat functions. Correction Dealers are to reprogram the PDM. Service Procedure Important: The labor time for performing the refresh/reprogram of the passenger door module in this recall is different than the amount of time allowed in Service Bulletin 03-08-52-001B. The labor operation code and time allowance in the service bulletin was for a BCM reprogram, and was not the correct labor operation code for this repair. Inspection Procedure Important: The following inspection must be performed in order to determine the correct repair procedure. 1. Turn the ignition to the ON position. 2. Using the switches in the right front passenger door, verify that the power window and power door lock located in that door, function properly. • If the power window and door locks do NOT function, proceed to the “Refresh and Reprogram” procedure and follow ALL of the steps. • If the power window and door lock function properly, the vehicle only needs to be updated with the new calibration for the passenger door module. Proceed to and follow only steps 4-6 in the “Refresh and Reprogram” procedure. DO NOT PERFORM STEPS 1-3. Refresh and Reprogram Procedure

REMOTE ENGINE STARTER OWNER’S GUIDE The REMOTE ENGINE STARTER allows you to start your engine from outside the vehicle. It utilizes your vehicle’s keyless entry remote, so there is no need to carry around an extra remote. The REMOTE ENGINE STARTER is operated the same way for vehicles equipped with or without the Smart Entry / Push Start system; simply push the remote’s LOCK button in a quick, two-step sequence. In addition, the REMOTE ENGINE STARTER can activate the heater or air conditioner according to your preset temperature controls, providing you with a comfortable cabin upon entry. As an added convenience, the REMOTE ENGINE STARTER can also activate the defroster (when preset) to clear up the windshield during cold weather.

In this mode, when BCM detects the input signal from a switch in IVMS as shown here, the detection is indicated by the map lamp and step lamps with buzzer. The status of the switch (except the ignition switch, interior ill lamp switch, and map lamp switch) as input to each control unit can be monitored. Cancel of Switch Monitor. If one of the following conditions is satisfied, the switch monitor is cancelled. Turn ignition switch OFF. Drive the vehicle more than 7 km/h (4 MPH) . RESPONSE” may be displayed instead of the above results. This is caused by the data record, so erase the records. (The display only shows the incident records, they are not malfunctions caused during the diagnosis. One possible cause is that an reproducible incident occurred.) Follow the steps below to erase the memory Perform either disconnect BCM battery power supply or erase memory with CONSULT-II. With the battery connected, if the local control unit (LCU) connector is disconnected and left for approximately 1 minute , the BCM stores “NO RESPONSE” record.

For 2003 and 2004 Applied Vehicles: When you perform Procedure C (ECM Reprogramming), go to NTB06-051a for reprogramming information. You will still need to perform all other parts of this bulletin on 2003 and 2004 Applied Vehicles. INTRODUCTION Nissan has determined that some 2002-2003 model year Altima and 2002-2004 model year Sentra vehicles equipped with the 2.5 liter engine have defects that relate to motor vehicle safety. For 2002-2003 model year Altimas, there is a possibility that the exhaust pipe hanger pin may catch debris from the road that could be ignited by contact with the catalytic converter and cause a fire. In addition, for 2002-2003 model year Altimas and 2002-2004 model year Sentras, there is a possibility that certain engine operating conditions may cause damage to the pre-catalyst. Material from inside a damaged pre-catalyst could enter the engine and result in increased oil consumption. If the engine oil level is not checked on a periodic basis and drops below the low level, and the driver continues to operate the vehicle ignoring noticeable engine noise, engine damage may occur which could result in a fire.
