(a) DO NOT pull on vehicle wires and/or wireharness. To uncouple electrical connectors, pull only on the connector itself. (Fig. 4)
(b) Use nylon ties and adhesive foam strips to secure the vehicle harness and the trailer wire harness.
(c) Ensure all wires are properly insulated from ground.
(d) When installing the trailer wire harness make sure it is not cut or perforated by any sharp metal objects.

Some customers may experience a squeak noise due to contact between the seat track locating pin(s) and the ?oor pan location hole(s). The following procedure describes the repair method to correct this condition. 1. Disconnect the negative (–) battery terminal. 2. Remove the plastic front seat track covers, use a Plastic Pry Tool to disengage the claws and carefully remove the plastic seat track covers. NOTE Refer to the appropriate Toyota Repair Manual for each model for detailed instructions on how to remove the plastic seat track covers. 4. Remove the LH front seat assembly. A. Move the seatback to the full upright position. B. Remove the four (4) seat track securing bolts. C. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the complete seat assembly. 5. Remove the seat track locating pins. A. With the seat removed from the vehicle, tilt the seat assembly backward to gain access to the seat track locating pins. B. Use a power cut-off tool to cut off the two (2) locating pins leaving 2 mm (0.1 in.) or less of each pin. NOTE • Do NOT permit the power cut-off tool to contact the seat track. ONLY cut off the shaft of the pin (near the base of the seat track). • The seat track locating pins’ function is to ease installation during manufacturing and does NOT provide any other function. Figure 5.. 6. Clean and paint bare metal surfaces. A. Remove any metal shavings from the seat track/seat assembly. B. Clean the bare metal surface of the remainder of the seat track locating pin with wax, grease, and silicone remover. C. To prevent corrosion, coat any bare metal surfaces still attached to the seat track with a brush-on type paint. 7. Install LH front seat assembly. A. Place the seat on the cabin ?oor. B. Reconnect all electrical connectors under the seat. C. Install all four (4) seat track retaining bolts (?ngertight). D. Tighten the two (2) front seat track attaching bolts. NOTE The bolt torque speci?cation varies by model. Please refer to the Repair Manual for the correct bolt torque for the model you are working on. E. Tighten the two (2) rear seat track attaching bolts. NOTE The bolt torque speci?cation varies by model. Please refer to the Repair Manual for the correct bolt torque for the model you are working on. F. Reinstall all plastic seat track covers. 8. Repeat steps 1 – 6 for the RH seat assembly. 9. Reconnect the negative (–) battery terminal. 10. Test power seat operation and seat heater (if equipped) for proper operation. 11. Initialize front passenger occupant classi?cation system and re-initialize any other power systems. Refer to the applicable model and model year repair manual initialization procedures. 12. Inspect SRS warning light operation. 13. Test drive vehicle and con?rm that the seat squeak has been eliminated.

Introduction Under certain operating conditions, the mounting area of the driver and/or front passenger sunvisor on the vehicle body may become damaged. If this has occurred, the sunvisor may become loose from the mounting area located on the headliner. To address this condition, newly designed mounting brackets have been made available to reinstall the sunvisors. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to install the mounting brackets. Repair Procedure 1. Remove the affected sunvisor assembly. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year RAV4 Repair Manual: 2006 (to 01/2006) / 2006 (from 01/2006) / 2007 / 2008 / 2009 / 2010 RAV4: Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Interior: Roof Headlining: Removal” 2. Straighten the roof sheet metal where the visor clips contact the roof. 3. Apply felt to the roof panel opening for visor as shown. Cut two strips from the felt sheet to the following dimensions: Length: 25 mm (1 in.) Width: 9 mm (3/8 in.) Thickness: 0.5 mm (0.02 in.) 4. Install the front visor support. NOTE Front and rear supports are identical. A. Thread string or thin wire through the opening of the support. B. Insert the support into the roof panel opening and attach the support hook to the front edge of the roof panel opening. NOTE • Hold the string or wire ends when installing to prevent the support from falling into the body. • Move the connector toward the rear of the vehicle to widen the opening. C. Attach felt between the support and the roof panel to hold the support in place. Cut two strips from the felt sheet to the following dimensions: Length: 25 mm (1 in.) Width: 5 mm (3/16 in.) Thickness: 0.5 mm (0.02 in.) D. Remove the string or wire from the support.

These procedures should not be attempted by “do-it-yourselfers.” NOTE: • Be careful not to damage the rear bumper or other finished surfaces of the body. • Let the P/S fluid, the ATF, and the surrounding parts cool down before you install the coolers. 1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the audio presets. 2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Remove the rear bumper. • If equipped, remove the two screws (one on each side) that secure the inner fender. • Remove the four self-tapping screws (two on each side) at the fenderwell. • Using a clip remover, pry out and remove the three clips along the bottom of the bumper. • Using a flat-tip screwdriver, pry out and remove the bumper bolt covers, then remove the four bumper bolts. • With the help of an assistant, release the bumper from the fenderwell, and slide the bumper away from the vehicle. • If equipped, unplug the backup sensor connectors. • Set the bumper on a blanket. Some 2009 – 2010 Corolla vehicles may exhibit a condition where water drips from the gap between the headliner and the A-Pillar garnish. Use the following repair procedure to correct this condition. Repair Procedure 1. Remove headliner. For headliner removal instructions, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year Repair Manual: 2009 Corolla: Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Roof Headlining: Removal” 2010 Corolla: Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Roof Headlining: Removal” 2. Wipe down the roof panel with a dry towel. Be sure to remove all moisture before sticking the felt and the roof silencer padding to the roof panel. 3. Add felt to roof panel area. Figure 1. A. Add 3 NEW pieces of felt (63351-12070) on the roof panel behind the map light bracket as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2. B. Cut pieces of the roof silencer padding (63341-02160 / 63342-02200) into smaller pieces. (1) For P/N 63341-02160, cut in the following sequence as shown in Figure 4: 1 – 2 – 3 (2) For P/N 63342-02200, cut two pieces of foam in half along the center to divide in equal pieces as shown in Figure 6, to obtain 4 individual pieces. (3) Cut one piece of Foam (P/N 63342-02200) as shown in Figure 7. (4) Apply pieces of the roof silencer padding (63341-02160 / 63342-02200) in the areas as shown in Figure 8. Figure 8. A. Stick ?lm/tape (63314-12180) on the back side of the roof headliner near the A-Pillar garnish area as shown in Figures 10 & 11. Tape should be added on both driver & passenger side of the vehicle. B. Stick felt (63351-12070) on the back side of the roof headliner. This felt should be added on the driver and passenger side near the B-Pillar garnish areas as shown in Figures 10 & 12. C. Stick felt (63351-12070) on the back side of the roof headliner. This felt should be added on the driver and passenger side near the C-Pillar garnish areas as shown in Figures 10 & 13. 5. Install the headliner in the reverse order of removal.
