FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT REPLACEMENT 1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 2. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH 3. REMOVE FRONT DISC 4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT a. Using SST and a screwdriver or an equivalent to hold the front axle hub, remove the front axle LH hub bolt. SST 09628-1001 5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT a. Install a washer and nut to a new front axle LH hub bolt as shown in the illustration. b. Using a screwdriver to hold the front axle hub, install the hub bolt by torquing the nut. 6. INSTALL FRONT DISC 7. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH 8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)

Removal and Installation All Vehicles 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable2. Remove the upper radiator fan shroud. 3. Remove the nuts from the right side motor mount. 4. Remove the front wheel and tire assemblies 5. Loosen the transmission-to-crossmember nuts. On 4×4 Vehicles 6. Remove the bolt from the right side axle housing bushing. 7. Remove both the right side and the left side stabilizer bar bracket nuts. 8. Remove the left side lower axle housing bushing. 9. Remove the left side upper axle housing bushing. All Vehicles 10. Remove the right lower mount nut and washer. 11. Remove the left lower mount nut and washer. 12. Remove the bolt from the left side motor mount. 13. Using a suitable jack, raise the right side of the engine until there is enough clearance to remove the right motor mount. 14. Remove the right side motor mount. 15. Using a suitable jack, raise the left side of the engine until there is enough clearance to remove the left motor mount. 16. Remove the left side motor mount. 17. To install, reverse the removal procedure

Tool number 07MAC-SL00200 replaces Ball Joint 4. Insert the tool as shown. Be careful not to damage Remover 07941-6920003. Tool number the ball joint boot. If the tool jaws won’t fit over the 07MAC-SL00100 does not replace any other tool. ball joint, unscrew the pressure bolt until they do. 5. Once the tool is in place, turn the adjusting bolt T/N 07MAC-SL00100 – for ’91 NSX as necessary to make the jaws parallel. Then T/N 07MAC-SL00200 – for ’91 Legend and all previous hand-tighten the pressure bolt and re-check the Acura models jaws to make sure they are still parallel. Use it to separate a ball joint from its suspension or PRESSURE BOLT steering arm as follows: CAUTION: Wear eye protection. The ball joint can break loose suddenly and scatter dirt or other debris in your eyes.

WARNING Do not loosen the axle wheel hub retainer until the wheel and tire are removed from the vehicle. Wheel bearing damage will occur if the wheel bearing is unloaded with the weight of the vehicle applied. NOTE Have an assistant press the brake pedal to keep the axle from turning. 1. Before servicing the vehicle, please familiarize yourself with safety procedures.? 2. Remove the axle-to-wheel hub retainer nut and washer.?3. Remove the parking brake shoes. WARNING Do not use a hammer to separate the outboard CV-joint from the hub. Damage to the threads and internal CV-joint components can result.? 4.
Press the outboard CV-joint until it is loose from the hub.?5.Remove and discard the toe link-to-wheel knuckle nut.
WARNING Do not damage the boot while separating the toe link from the wheel knuckle.?6. Remove the bolt and separate the toe link from the wheel knuckle.? 7. Remove and discard the upper arm-to-wheel knuckle nut. WARNING Do not damage the boot while separating the ball joint from the wheel knuckle.?8. Remove the bolt and separate the upper arm from the wheel knuckle. ? 9. Remove and discard the lower arm-to-wheel knuckle nut.

DODGE CALIBER, JEEP COMPASS/PATRIOT APPLICATIONS: REMOVE AIRBAG BY EXTRACTING THE (2) 10MM SCREWS AS ILLUSTRATED IN FIGURE 2A. 4. PRESS IN SIDES OF BOTH CONNECTORS TO REMOVE AIRBAG FIGURE 3. AS ILLUSTRATED IN CAUTION: BE AIRBAG SURE TO STORE FACE UP AS FIGURE 3A ILLUSTRATED IN TO REDUCE INJURY IN EVENT OF ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OF AIRBAG.
5. JEEP WRANGLER REMOVE 13MM BOLT TO TAKE OFF STEERING WHEEL, THEN SKIP ON PAGE 6. DODGE CALIBER, JEEP COMPASS/PATRIOT APPLICATIONS: REMOVE (3) TORX 25 SCREWS TO RELEASE CENTER BRACKET INSIDE STEERING WHEEL. FIGURE 4
