NOTE: When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage. Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts. 1. Remove the dashboard center lower cover (A). -1 Gently pull out the cover to release the clips and hooks (B). -2 If equipped, disconnect the accessory power socket connector (C) and seat heater switch connector (D). 2. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and if equipped, make sure the accessory power socket connector and seat heater switch connector are plugged in properly. Without BOSE Sound System NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts. 1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the radio’s preset buttons. 2. Remove the dashboard center lower cover. 3. Remove the two mounting bolts, then remove the center panel. 4. Disconnect the audio unit connector (A), antenna lead (B) and hazard warning switch connector (C), then remove the audio unit (D).

Remove the bolts, then remove the lower glove box (A). 3. Install the lower glove box in the reverse order of removal. NOTE: Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts. 1. Remove the lower glove box. 2. Remove the bolt and lower grove box damper (A). 3. Install the damper in the reverse order of removal.

Special Tools Required KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 Without Console Armrest NOTE: Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. Take care not to scratch the front seat, dashboard, and related parts. 1. Detach the clips (A, B) by pulling the center console box (C) up, and removing it from the center console (D). 2. M/T model: Remove the shift knob (A). 3. Remove the screws (A, B) and clips (C), and remove the center console (D). 4. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Replace any damaged clips. Push the clips into place securely. With Console Armrest NOTE: Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. Take care not to scratch the front seat, dashboard, and related parts. 1. M/T model: Remove the shift knob (A).

SYMPTOM The center pocket lid rubs, does not open, or opens but does not stay closed. PROBABLE CAUSE The center pocket is misaligned or incorrectly assembled. DIAGNOSIS Try to open and close the center pocket lid. • If the lid rubs against the dashboard, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE A: CENTER POCKET REALIGNMENT. • If the lid does not open, or it opens but does not stay closed, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE B: CENTER POCKET SCREW TIGHTENING/CENTER POCKET REPLACEMENT. REPAIR PROCEDURE A: CENTER POCKET REALIGNMENT 1. Remove the center pocket assembly: • Refer to page 20-132 of the 2003–2007 Accord Service Manual, or • Online, enter keyword POCKET, and select Dashboard Center Pocket Removal/ Installation from the list. 2. Using a round file, elongate the right mounting screw hole as shown. NOTE: Do not use a file larger than 4.0 mm, and do not elongate the hole more than 4.0 mm. 3. Reinstall the center pocket assembly, but don’t tighten the mounting screws yet.
