CAUTION: – Before servicing SRS, turn the ignition switch off, disconnect both battery cables and wait for at least 10 minutes. – Always work from the side of air bag module. 1. Remove lower lid from steering wheel, and disconnect air bag module connector. 2. Remove side lids. Using the TAMPER RESISTANT TORX (Size T50), remove left and right special bolts. Air bag module can then be removed. CAUTION: – Always place air bag module with pad side facing upward. – Do not attempt to disassemble air bag module. – The special bolts are coated with bonding agent. Do not use old bolts after removal; replace with new ones. 1996 Nissan-Datsun Maxima V6-2968cc 3.0L DOHC MFI (VQ30DE) – - – Replace air bag module if it has been dropped or sustained an impact. Do not expose the air bag module to temperatures exceeding 90°C (194°F). Do not allow oil, grease or water to come in contact with the air bag module. 3. Set steering wheel in the neutral position. 4. Disconnect horn connector and remove nuts. 5. Using steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel. Be careful not to over-tighten puller bolt on steering wheel. CAUTION: – Do not tap or bump the steering wheel. 6. Remove steering column cover. 7. Disconnect connectors and remove the four screws. The spiral cable can then be removed. CAUTION: – Do not attempt to disassemble spiral cable. Do not apply lubricant to the spiral cable. Installation – Air Bag Module and Spiral Cable 1. Set the front wheels in the straight-ahead position. 2. Make sure that the spiral cable is in the neutral position.

1. Remove the radiator upper sight shield. 2. Disconnect the power steering reservoir pump hose. 3. Raise the vehicle. 4. Remove the air conditioning compressor. 5. Remove the nut and the routing bracket. 6. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose. 1999 Lincoln Continental V8-4.6L DOHC VIN V 7. Remove the four bolts and the power steering pump. INSTALLATION 1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order. 2. Install anew seal on the high pressure line fitting. 3. Fill and leak check the system.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable. 2. NOTE: Steering wheel must be in straight ahead position. Remove steering wheel. 3. Displace cancellation module connector from mounting bracket and disconnect. 4. Displace flasher/headlamp/trip switch connectors from mounting bracket and disconnect. – Cut and remove appropriate harness securing ties. 1998 Jaguar XJ-8 Sedan V8-3996cc 4.0L DOHC (AJ26) SFI 5. Remove switchgear. 1. Remove two screws which secure switch assembly/cancellation module to mounting bracket. 2. Displace switchgear from mounting bracket. 3. Route switchgear harness through mounting bracket and remove switchgear. Installation 1. Installation is reverse of removal.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. 2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories. 3. Remove the generator electrical connector cover. 4. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors. 5. Remove the coolant expansion tank bolt. 6. Detach the coolant expansion tank from the clip and secure to one side. 7. Detach the power steering reservoir and secure to one side. 2000 Ford Focus L4-2.0L DOHC VIN 3 8. Detach the engine wiring loom bracket and secure to one side. 9. Detach the ground cable. 10. Detach the evaporative emission canister purge valve and secure to one side. 11. Remove the bolt.

Suzuki; Samurai, Sidekick, Swift ENGINE MECHANICAL Before performing any on-vehicle adjustments to fuel or ignition system, ensure engine mechanical condition is okay. VALVE CLEARANCE NOTE: Swift DOHC uses hydraulic lifters. No adjustments are required. Samurai & Sidekick 1) Remove valve cover. Rotate engine until zero degree (TDC) timing mark of timing belt cover is in line with timing mark on crankshaft pulley. See Fig. 1. 2) Ensure cylinder No. 1 is at TDC on compression stroke. Remove distributor cap. On Samurai and Sidekick (TBI), ensure rotor is pointed upward at distributor hold-down bolt and to No. 1 terminal of distributor cap. On Sidekick (MPI), ensure rotor is at about 1 o’clock position and pointed to No. 1 terminal of distributor cap. If rotor is not as described, rotate crankshaft 360 degrees
