Connect the Saab Intelligent Tester (ISAT-86 10 651) scanner to Green diagnostic connector located under right front seat. Follow manufacturer’s test procedure to retrieve and erase DTCs. See ABS DTCS table. When fault-tracing ABS system, DO NOT directly probe ABS ECU connector pins. Use breakout box and breakout box lead connected between ABS ECU and connector. See Fig. 6 . Breakout box pin numbers are identical to ABS ECU terminal numbers. Problem ABS ECU Fault ABS ECU Fault (RAM) Defective System Relay No Signal From Left Front Wheel Sensor No Signal From Right Front Wheel Sensor No Signal From Left Rear Wheel Sensor Diagnose all other DTCs before diagnosing DTCs 42251 or 1. Breakout box pin numbers and ABS ECU terminal numbers are identical. 1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Check for battery voltage between breakout box pins No. 1 and 3, and pins No. 1 and 33. If no voltage is present at either pin No. 3 or 33, check ABS 30-amp fuse in main bulkhead fuse box. Also check Red wire from fuse to main relay and distribution block on battery tray. 2. If wiring is okay but voltage is still not present, ensure continuity is present between breakout box pin No. 3 and relay terminal No. 30 (White wire), and between breakout box pin No. 33 and relay terminal No. 87a (Black wire). Ensure 10-amp ABS fuse is okay.

(See Figure 1). If the gear is missing, find it (hopefully it’s still on the floor). Then re-install it using the Service Procedure on Page 2. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Remove the following components; • • • cluster lid “C” (HVAC control surround trim) fuse box cover driver’s side instrument panel lower cover (attached with 2 screws). 2. Remove the screw from the center of the cable operated gear (see Figure 2). 3. Locate the small (about 1” dia.) white air mix door gear. Hopefully it is still on the floor. NOTE: If you cannot find the old air mix door gear, order a new gear. Refer to the Parts Information section of this bulletin. 4. Module Installation 1. The Power Edge EZ Module can mount on the flat black plastic fuse box cover located on the driver’s side fender. Adhere the module using the supplied velcro, allowing enough harness movement for removal of the cover. ICP Sensor Connection 2. Connect the supplied ICP sensor wiring harness to the supplied main wiring harness in the engine compartment. Disconnect the stock wiring harness at the sensor located above the valve cover on the driver’s side towards the front of the engine. Plug the supplied ICP sensor connector into the stock ICP sensor on the engine and the stock engine wiring harness connector into the supplied ICP sensor connector. NOTE: The ICP connector is on the drivers side of the engine located close to the engine removal ring under the boost hose – Notice the BLUE gasket. The ICP connector is NOT located at the front of the engine, as that is a coolant sensor! 9 Final Inspection and Operation 1. Recheck all connections, fittings and fasteners for a properly secure installation. 2. Using the supplied wire ties, secure the wiring harness from possible damage. Fueling Adjustment The Power Edge EZ Module features 4 different levels of fueling. The EZ Module is set default to level 2. 1. To change settings remove the front panel by using a 3/32” allen wrench to remove the two screws. 2. Below the cover the 3 jumper settings on the right side are used for the power level adjustment. 3. The two jumpers can be repositioned in any of the locations shown below to achieve the desired response.
