1 Disconnect the negative battery ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 2 Unclip the radio trim panel including the climate controls and radio con- trols. Unplug and remove the panel. (Figure A) 3 Remove (4) Phillips screws securing radio chassis to sub dash. Unplug and remove the chassis. (Figure B) 4 Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the climate controls to the radio panel. Remove the climate controls and retain the screws and the climate controls for reinstallation during kit assembly. (Figure C)

1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 2 Unclip and remove the trim panel surrounding the radio and includ- ing the a/c vents. (Figure A) 3 Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio. (Figure B) 4 Disconnect and remove radio. (Figure B) Continue to KIT ASSEMBLY. 1 KIA RIO: Cut and remove shaded areas #1. (Figure A) HYUNDAI ACCENT: Cut and remove shaded areas #2. (Figure A) 2 Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs down. (Figure B) 3 Slide the aftermarket head unit into the cage until secure. (Figure C) Continue to final assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery-terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unsnap the trim below the climate control to reveal (2) 10 MM bolts and remove. (Figure A) 2 Carefully pull air vents above radio towards rear of car to unsnap. NOTE: There are (3) snaps, (2) are at the bottom sides and (1) is at the top middle of the vent assembly. (Figure B) 3 Remove (2) 10 MM bolts from above radio/climate control assembly. Unplug and remove assembly together. (Figure C) 5 Remove (6) Phillips screws (4 from radio and 2 from climate control) from each side bracket to separate radio and climate control. (Save climate controls and brackets to reuse during kit
assembly). (Figure D
