Open door and lower window. Remove two screws behind door handle. Remove screw from lower left corner of door. Pull window control panel out from door panel. Remove screw from center of door panel. 6. Lift door panel away from door and pass window control panel through opening in center of door panel. 7. Remove screws around speaker. Remove speaker from door and disconnect speaker wire. 8. Disconnect mirror wire harness from inside door. 9. Peel off foam insulation from corner of door. 10. Remove three mirror mounting nuts from corner of door and remove mirror housing assembly.

Removal 1. Remove the A-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to A-Pillar Trim Panel in this section. 2. Reposition the B-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to B-Pillar Trim Panel — SuperCab in this section. 3. Remove the driver seat headrest. 4. Open the garment hook screw covers. 5. Remove the garment hook screws and remove the garment hooks. 6. Remove the overhead console. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12. 7. Remove the LH and RH sun visors. Remove the sun visor retainer screws. Reposition headliner and disconnect electrical connector. 8. Remove the sun visor clip screws and remove the sun visor clips. 9. Remove the rear door latch cover screws and remove the rear door latch covers. 10. Remove the headliner pin-type retainers. 11. If equipped, disconnect the mirror electrical connector and the rain sensor. 12. Disconnect the headliner electrical connectors.13. Rotate the front of the headliner towards the driver door. 14. Remove the headliner through the driver door. Installation 1. Position the headliner in the vehicle so that the sun visor and coat hook openings are aligned. 2. Install the LH and RH sun visors. Reposition headliner and connect electrical connector. Install the sun visor retainer screws. 3. Install the sun visor clip and sun visor clip screws. 4. Install the garment hooks and garment hook screws. 5. Close the garment hook screw covers.

Note: The factory radio provision is for a Double ISO/DIN style radio. An installation kit is required when installing an aftermarket stereo. 1. Using panel removal tool carefully pry off radio bezel. 2. Extract (6) 10 mm bolts securing radio and climate controls in dash, disconnect and remove. 3. Extract (8) Iso screws securing radio to bracket. 4. Extract (2) Philips screws securing bracket to bezel, pull away and remove radio. FRONT DOOR SPEAKER INSTALLATION: Note: The factory speaker provision is for a 1 ½” tweeter and a 6 ½” 3-Hole speaker mounted to a factory speaker adapter. 1. Remove screw cover from door opener cup and exract (1) Philips head screw, pry bezel out then forward to remove. 2. Remove inside mirror cover. 3. Pry out door cup and extract (1) Philips screw from beneath. 4. Exract (1) plastic fastener from front top portion of door. 5. Pry off door panel, pull away, disconnect, and remove. 6. Extract (3) 10 mm bolts securing speaker, pull away, disconnect, and remove. REAR DOOR SPEAKER INSTALLATION: Note: The factory speaker provision is for a 5 ¼” 3-Hole speaker mounted in a factory speaker adapter. 1. Remove screw cover from door opener cup and extract (1) Philips head screw, pry bezel out then forward to remove. 2. Pry out door cup and extract (1) Philips screw from beneath. 3. Pry off door panel, pull away, disconnect and remove. 4. Extract (3) 10 mm bolts securing speaker , pull away, disconnect, and remove.

Special Tools Required KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 Trim pad remover, Snap-on A177A, or equivalent, commercially available. 2-DOOR NOTE: Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. 1. If applicable, remove the regulator handle (A) by pulling the clip (B) out with a wire hook (C). 2. Remove the inner handle (A). Take care not to scratch the door panel. 1 Pry out on the upper portion of the cover (B) to release the hooks (C, D), then remove the cover. 2 Remove the screws. 3 Pull the inner handle forward and out half-way to release the hook (E). 4 Disconnect the inner handle rod (F) and power door lock switch connector (G) (driver’s side for some models). 3. Remove the switch panel (A) (power window model) or the pull pocket (B) (manual window model). 1 Using a trim tool, pry the cap (C), then remove the screw (D). 2 Pry out the panel or pocket to release the clips (E). 3 Release the clip (F) by pulling the cover or pocket forward. 4 Power window model: Disconnect the power window switch connector (G). 5. Remove the mirror mount cover (see step 2 on 2-DOOR ). 6. Release the clips that hold the door panel (A) with a commercially available trim pad remover (B), then remove the door panel by pulling it upward. Remove the door panel with as little bending as possible to avoid creasing or breaking it.

1999 Dodge Grand Caravan Trim Panel: Service and Repair REMOVAL INSTALLATION

Trim Panel: Service and Repair REMOVAL 1. Using a trim stick (C-4755), pry courtesy lamp from door trim. 2. Disconnect wire connector from courtesy lamp. 3. If equipped, remove screws attaching door assist handle to inner door panel. 4. If equipped, remove screw attaching door pull cup to inner door panel. 5. If equipped, remove screws attaching trim panel to door from below map pocket. 6. If equipped, remove window crank. 7. Using a trim stick, remove screw cover from switch panel. 8. Remove screws attaching switch panel to door trim. 9. Remove power accessary switch from door trim. 10. Disconnect power switch from wire connector. 11. If equipped, using a small, flat bladed pry tool, remove memory seat/mirror switch and disconnect wire connector. 12. If equipped, remove screw holding door trim to door panel from behind inside latch release handle. 13. Disengage clips attaching door trim to door frame around perimeter of panel. 14. Lift trim panel upward to disengage flange from inner belt molding at top of door. 15. Tilt top of trim panel away from door to gain access to latch linkage. 16. Disengage clip attaching linkage rod to inside latch release handle. 17. Separate linkage rod from latch handle. 18. Remove front door trim panel from vehicle. INSTALLATION 1. Hold top of trim panel away from door to gain access to latch linkage. 2. Place linkage rod in position on latch handle. 3. Engage clip to hold linkage rod to inside latch release handle. 4. Place front door trim panel in position on door. 5. Install trim panel into inner belt molding at top of door. 6. Install clips to attach door trim to door frame around perimeter of panel. 7. If equipped, install screw to attach door trim to door panel behind inside latch release handle. 8. If equipped, connect power switch into wire connector. 9. Place power accessary switch in position on door trim. 10. Connect wire connector into memory seat/mirror switch and install switch into trim panel. 11. Install screws to attach accessary switch panel to door trim. 12. Install screw cover into switch panel. 13. If equipped, install window crank. 14. If equipped, install screws to attach trim panel to door inside map pocket. 15. If equipped, install screw to attach door pull cup to inner door panel. 16. If equipped, install screws to attach door assist handle to inner door panel. 17. Connect wire connector into courtesy lamp. 18. Install lamp in door trim.
