Liftgate Release Handle Item Multi-Purpose Grease Spray XL-5 1. To remove the exterior liftgate release handle, remove the license plate housing. For additional information, refer to Section 501-00. 2. To remove the liftgate latch, remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-01. 3. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.4. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Item 4: Liftgate Latch Removal Note 1. Disconnect the liftgate actuating cable from the latch. Item 3: Liftgate Latch Installation Note 1. Hand-tighten the bolts in the sequence shown. 2.
