Removing Main Headlight WARNING: Risk of destruction of electrical and electronic components: Before removing the headlights, take out the ignition key and switch off the lights. Risk of damage to the headlights due to: Abrasion and excessive temperatures. Headlights must not be covered when they are switched on, e.g. wing protection or film. NOTE: The description refers to the left headlight.Press down the cover “1″ in the engine compartment and remove it. 2. Slide a socket wrench “5″ on the release arm and release it in the direction of arrow “A”. 3. The headlight is now unlocked and can be pulled forward out of the wing. NOTE: If the Bi-Xenon main headlight is replaced, the control unit must be installed for the gas discharge from the old to the new main headlights. Installing Main Headlights NOTE: Do not attach any covers (e.g. stone shields or films) in the area of the headlights. Switch ignition off and remove ignition key. The description refers to the left headlight. “2″ Cover. “3″ Headlight release. “4″ Fender. 1. Insert the headlight into the guide rails and push it fully into the fender. 2. Press the headlight towards the rear and, at the same time, turn the socket wrench “5″ “arrow B”. The headlight locking mechanism must lock in audibly and noticeably. 3. Check that the headlights fit properly, e.g., by pulling gently in the area of the auxiliary high beam headlight.

Function The position of the throttle is controlled by a digital position controller which emits a pulse-width-modulated (PWM) duty cycle and a direction bit. After the output stage has been deactivated, the throttle is brought into emergency air position by means of two springs. This return of the throttle must take place within a certain time. If this time is exceeded, a fault is stored in the memory. Diagnosis conditions Ignition on (approx.30 sec. ) Stationary vehicle Engine not running Engine temperature> 5 °C Intake air temperature> 5 °C 1 Perform adaptation. 1. Switch on the ignition. 2. Wait one minute . Do not press the accelerator. 3. Switch off the ignition for at least 10 seconds. 4. Read out the fault memory

REMOVING INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with a handsfree telephone, disconnect the microphone plug connection instead of the dummy plug! 1. Disconnect the battery and cover terminal or battery. 2. Switch on the hazard warning light switch (button comes out). On the sides of the button, there are small openings that project beyond the dashboard insert. 3. Insert two small screwdrivers into the openings and pull off the button -A- towards the front. See Fig. 1 . Fig. 2 Balance shaft drive & camshaft drive exploded view. 1. Drain coolant from cold engine by setting heater control lever to warm position and unscrew drain plug 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. 3. Remove air cleaner assembly. 4. Remove lower radiator hose. 5. Remove accessory drive belts. 6. Remove upper and lower front timing belt covers Water Pump Assembly
15. Remove water pump retaining bolts and remove water pump.
16. Exchange parts on water pump as necessary.
NOTE: Check the condition of the balance shaft and the camshaft seals. Replace as necessary.

Exploded View Of Convertible Top & Main Folding Bow (Stanchion) CONVERTIBLE TOP MAIN STANCHION
Removal 1. Remove cover from mounting points of main stanchion bearing and side wall panel. Remove rear folding-roof panel. Loosen adhesive of front and rear folding roof cover. Remove screws from fastening 2. Remove nuts and washers from “B” pillar seal and lift seals forward, half opening convertible top. Detach snaps, lower Tenax bases, fastening bolts and corner pieces for tension cable. Separate seam between front and rear roof cover. 3. Loosen seal clamping plate and folding roof cover adhesive and main stanchion. Remove fastening screw from serrated strip and pull away from locating bolt. 4. Remove screws from roof tensioning strips and loosen adhesion. Remove tensioning rubber fastening wire. Loosen remaining adhesive of folding roof cover from main stanchion.
