DISCONNECT SUCTION TUBE AND LIQUID TUBE FROM COOLING UNIT OUTLET FITTING 4. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE FROM COOLING UNIT INLET FITTING HINT: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture out of the system.5. 6. 7. 8. INSTALL COOLING UNIT Install the cooling unit with the 4 screws and the nut. Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator. ? New O-ring seals, lubricated in clean PAG oil, must be installed before reconnecting any A/C fitting which has been disconnected. 1. Position the vehicle on a hoist with the gear selector in NEUTRAL. 2. If flushing of the air conditioning system has not been performed, recover the refrigerant. 3. AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REMOVAL DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM HINT: Evacuate air from refrigeration system. Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant. Specified amount: w/o Rear A/C: 900 ?50g (31.74 ?1.76oz.) w/Rear A/C 1,150 ?50g (40.56 ?1.76oz.) 1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
2. DISCONNECT WATER HOSE FROM HEATER RADIATOR PIPES HINT: 3. Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as ridge on the pipe and install the hose clip. Install the hose clip in a position. DISCONNECT LIQUID AND SUCTION TUBES 4. Remove the 2 bolts and the both tubes. Torque: 10 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft. lb.)
