WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT 1. Verify that the water pump drive belt auto tensioner indicator mark does not exceeds the limit. ? If it exceeds the limit, replace the water pump drive belt. (See WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT .) Fig. 21: Water Pump Drive Belt Auto Tensioner Limit Indicator Mark – Malfunction/Worn Belt WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT 1. Remove the plug hole plate. 2. Rotate the water pump drive belt auto tensioner counterclockwise to release the drive belt tension and remove the water pump drive belt. Fig. 23: Locating Water Pump Drive Belt Auto Tensioner 3. Reinstall the water pump drive belt or install a new water pump drive belt. WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT PULLEY REMOVAL NOTE 1. Replace part A of the SST [303-009 (49 UN30 3009)] with the SST [303-457 (49 UN30 3457)]. Fig. 31: Water Pump Pulley Removal Special Tools 2. Remove the water pump pulley using the SSTs.

1. Install PS gear assembly. a. Install the gear assembly from the LH of the vehicle. CAUTION: Do not damage the turn pressure tubes. b. Torque the 2 gear assembly set bolts and nuts to 181 Nm (134 ft. lbs.). NOTE: Lift up the stabilizer bar and install the bolts. 2. Install No.1 fuel tube protector. Install the 2 bolts and nut. 3. Connect stabilizer bar. Torque the 4 bolts to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.). 4. Connect pressure feed and return tubes. Using SST 09631 – 22020, connect the tube, then tighten to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.). NOTE: – Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch). – This torque value is effective in case that SST is parallel to a torque wrench. 5. 6. 7. 8. Connect clamp plate, then tighten the nut to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.). Connect intermediate shaft. Connect RH and LH tie rod ends. Position front wheels facing straight ahead. NOTE: Do it with the front of the vehicle jacked up. 9. Center spiral cable. 10. Install steering wheel. a. Install the wheel at straight-ahead position. b. Temporarily tighten the wheel set nut. c. Connect the connector. 11. Bleed power steering system. See: Power Steering/Power Steering Bleeding/Service and Repair 12. Check steering wheel center point. 13. Torque steering wheel set nut to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.). 14. Install steering wheel pad. 15. Check front wheel alignment.

REMOVAL 1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM HINT : At the time of installation, please refer to the following item. Evacuate air from refrigeration system. Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant. Specified amount: 600 ±50 g (21.16 ±1.76 oz.) 2. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE 5VZ-FE Shown a. Using SST, remove the piping clamp. SST 09870-00025 (Liquid tube) 1. Insert SST to piping clamp. HINT : Confirm the direction of the piping clamp claw and SST using the illustration showing on the caution label. 2. Push down SST and release the clamp lock. NOTE: Be careful not to deform the tubes, when pushing SST. 3. Pull SST slightly and push the release lever, then remove the piping clamp with SST. 4. Remove the piping clamp from SST. b. Disconnect the both tubes.

FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT REPLACEMENT 1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 2. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH 3. REMOVE FRONT DISC 4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT a. Using SST and a screwdriver or an equivalent to hold the front axle hub, remove the front axle LH hub bolt. SST 09628-1001 5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT a. Install a washer and nut to a new front axle LH hub bolt as shown in the illustration. b. Using a screwdriver to hold the front axle hub, install the hub bolt by torquing the nut. 6. INSTALL FRONT DISC 7. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH 8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)

1. Loosen the water pump pulley set bolts.2. Remove the drive belt adjusting bolt, and remove the drive 3. Remove the water pump pulley from the water pump.4. Remove the crankshaft pulley set bolt.5. Using SST (09213-31021), remove the crankshaft pulley.Remove the timing chain cover bolts and nuts as shown in the figure.Using a plastic faced hammer, loosen the timing chain cover and remove it.Remove timing chain tensioner and vibration damper. Remove the camshaft sprocket set bolt.
