NOTICE: Always turn the crankshaft clockwise. (c) Check that the timing marks of the camshaft timing pul- leys and No.3 timing belt cover are aligned. If not, turn the crankshaft pulley 1 revolution (360°). (d) Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt. IF REUSING TIMING BELT, CHECK INSTALLATION MARKS ON TIMING BELT Check that there are 3 installation marks and front mark on the timing belt. If the installation and front marks have disappeared, before re- moving the timing belt, place 3 new installation marks on the timing belt to match the timing marks of the timing pulleys, and place a new front mark on the timing belt. 18. 19. REMOVE TIMING BELT TENSIONER Alternately loosen the 2 bolts, and remove them, the belt ten- sioner and dust boot. 20. REMOVE TIMING BELT 21. (a) REMOVE RH CAMSHAFT TIMING PULLEY Using SST, loosen the pulley bolt. SST 09960–10010 (09962–01000, 09963–01000) Remove the bolt, knock pin and timing pulley. (b) 22. (a) REMOVE LH CAMSHAFT TIMING PULLEY Using SST, loosen the pulley bolt. SST 09960–10010 (09962–01000, 09963–01000) Remove the bolt, knock pin and timing pulley. (b) 23. REMOVE NO.2 IDLER PULLEY Remove the bolt and idler pulley. 24. REMOVE NO.1 IDLER PULLEY Using a 10 mm hexagon wrench, remove the pivot bolt, idler pulley and plate washer. 25. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY Remove the timing pulley. HINT: If the pulley cannot be removed by hand, use SST and a service bolt to remove the timing pulley. Remove lower timing belt cover 2000 Isuzu Truck VehiCROSS (4WD) V6-3.5L 13. Remove pusher. Caution: The pusher prevents air from entering the oil chamber. Its rod must always be facing upward. 14. Remove timing belt. Caution: 1. Do not bend or twist the belt. otherwise its core could be damaged. The belt should not be bent at a radius less than 30 mm. 2. Do not allow oil or other chemical substances to come in contact with the belt. They will shorten the life. 3. Do not attempt pry or stretch the belt with a screw driver or any other tool during installation. 4. Store timing belt in a cool and dark place. Never expose the belt to direct sunlight or heat. Installation Note: For correct belt installation, the leper on the belt must be able to be read as viewed from the front of the vehicle. 2000 Isuzu Truck VehiCROSS (4WD) V6-3.5L 1. Install timing belt. 1. Align groove of crankshaft timing pulley with mark on oil pump. Align the mark on the crankshaft timing pulley with alignment mark (white dots line) on the timing belt. Secure the belt with a double clip. Note: When timing marks are aligned, No.2 piston will be on top Dead Center.

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft position sensor, which detects the engine speed and crankshaft angle signal (NE signal), has been installed on the oil pump body. The NE signal plate has 34 teeth. The NE signal sensor generates 34 signals at every engine revolution. The ECM detects the standard crankshaft angle based on the G signal, and the actual crankshaft angle and the engine speed by the NE signal. DTC No.
DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area P0335 No signal of crankshaft position sensor to ECM during cranking (2 trip detection logic) •Open or short in crankshaft position sensor circuit •Crankshaft position sensor P0335 No signal of crankshaft position sensor to ECM with engine speed 600 rpm or more (2 trip detection logic) •Crankshaft osition sensor •Crankshaft timing pulley •ECM WIRING DIAGRAM

INSTALLATION 1. Install the oil pump pulley. 2. Install the crankshaft timing pulley. 3. Install the No.2 idler pulley. 4. Temporarily install the No.1 idler pulley. Check free length of tension spring before installing it. 5. Pry the idler pulley to the left as far
as possible and tighten the bolt. Check the movement the idler pulley. 6. Temporarily install the timing belt. 7. Turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position key groove of crankshaft timing pulley upward. 8. Install the timing belt on crankshaft pulley, oil pump pulley, water pump pulley, No.1 idler pulley, No.2 idler pulley. Make sure there is no oil or water on them. Note: If reusing timing belt, align the pointsmarked before removal; Including the
